CAA WORKSHOPS

The CAA can develop, assist with or participate in targeted workshops of the highest quality that offer professional advice, support and training in cultural resource management, archaeology, conservation, interpretation and project management. The aim of these workshops is to provide long-term sustainability through building the capacity and skills of those responsible for and interested in the management of the historic environment.

Workshops can be organised in collaboration with knowledge institutions, local communities, governmental bodies, NGO's and interested individuals in the management, research and presentation of archaeological sites and resources around the world.

Recent workshops that CAA has been involved in include, for example, those at the World Heritage Site of Merv in Turkmenistan, at the Red Fort in Delhi and at Jericho in Palestine. The CAA also organises workshops for teachers, archaeological societies, expert staff and students.

The CAA also assists in the development of Expert Masterclasses, that normally run for a longer period of time and have a strong practical and fieldwork component. .. read more.
