Scholarships

In recognition of the importance of graduates from our Department to their future, several major international companies have established a Trust Fund with the Department of Biochemical Engineering at UCL. This fund provides the Sir Derek Roberts Scholarships which are open to all applicants wishing to enter our undergraduate programmes.

Each scholarship is worth £1,500, and recognise the potential of the candidate. The supporting companies for bursaries and prizes are:

• Merck
• Shell
• GlaxoSmithKline
• Unilever
• Astra Zeneca
• Lonza Biologics

UCL offers various additional scholarships and funds available for undergraduates. Students are invited to submit a CV, written as to convey their excitement for the degree studies in the 1st term of their enrollment. Shortlisted candidates are interviewed by a panel of industrialists with the recipients announced at our March team briefing.
