The department has a long tradition of welcoming students from overseas. In the past few years students from many countries have studied biochemical engineering here including Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, Ghana, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Slovakia, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and the United States of America.

Overseas applicants are not normally called for interview unless they are already studying in Britain.
