Gulsim Kulsharova Wins Best Poster Award

Gulsim Kulsharova, an Early Stage Researcher within the EUROMBR Marie Curie Initial Training Network project (grant agreement no 608104), won Best Poster award for her contribution "Simplified Immobilisation of Histidine-tagged Enzymes in Poly(methyl methacrylate) Microfluidic Device" at the 4th International Conference IMPLEMENTATION OF MICROREACTOR TECHNOLOGY IN BIOTECHNOLOGY - IMTB 2017, which took place in Bled, Slovenia from 23rd to 26th of April 2017. 

Gulsim received a Royal Society of Chemistry sponsored Reaction Chemistry & Engineering journal year-long subscription as her prize. IMTB 2017 conference was attended by 90 people including participants and invited speakers from leading research institutions and industry in the fields of enzymatic microreactors, cells within microdevices, analytical microdevices and bioprocess intensification and integration within microdevices. Gulsim also gave an oral talk titled "Development of Microfluidic Platforms towards Mimicking Drug Metabolism" covering her PhD research findings during the conference.
