Nicholas Cameron
The role of IDTC administrator covers a range of responsibilities. Some duties are specific to the Industrial Doctoral Training Centre whereas others benefit the department’s postgraduate teaching and administration in a more comprehensive manner.
IDTC-Specific Duties:
- Administering the taught MRes programme and subsequent 3-year EngD
- IDTC Marketing: Responsibility for the IDTC website and delivery of new marketing materials
- First point of contact for all IDTC matters and direct assistance to the centre Director (Prof Gary Lye)
- Minute-taking for IDTC Management Committee
- Attendance of national Centre Managers’ conferences
General Postgraduate Duties:
- Minute-taking for Doctoral Committee Meetings
- Administration support/advice for the PhD programme
- Collation of results data for the Postgraduate Exam Board
- Poster session organiser for ITAB and PG EBM
- Assistance/co-responsibility for postgraduate inductions
