Postgraduate

The Bartlett School of Planning offers a range of internationally renowned Masters programmes on planning and related disciplines.

All of our programmes are professionally accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and/or the Royal institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) with the exception of the Interdisciplinary Urban Design MRes which offers you the flexibility to tailor your studies. Interdisciplinary Urban Design MRes

The MRes Inter-disciplinary Urban Design (IdUD) allows students to construct their study in a cross-disciplinary manner and explore urban design as a critical arena for advanced research and practice. Programme length: 1 year full-time 

Spatial planning

Spatial Planning MSc

The Spatial Planning MSc programme provides a general introduction to planning theories, systems and cultures with a focus on the importance of taking a spatial perspective and on UK practice. Programme length: 1 year full-time / 2 years part-time / 2-5 years flexible.

Spatial Planning Degree Apprenticeship MSc

This degree apprenticeship is designed for those wishing to understand and practice spatial planning in the UK as chartered town planners and have a sponsoring employer in England. Programme length: 3 years.

International planning - Dubai

International City Planning MSc

For students who want an international perspective on planning systems and cultures or are likely to work outside the UK after their studies. Programme length: 1 year full-time / 2 years part-time / 2-5 years flexible.

This programme was created in 2000 in response to a great challenge facing urban professionals in Britain and around the world: the decay and deterioration of our cities and their planned renaissance. Programme length: 1 year full-time / 2 years part-time / 2-5 years flexible. 

International real estate

International Real Estate and Planning MSc/Dip

A unique opportunity for students to focus on the relationship between the property development process and the planning systems of Europe and beyond. Programme length: 1 year full-time / 2 years part-time / 2-5 years flexible.

Sustainable Urbanism

Sustainable Urbanism MSc

Rapid urbanisation and its impact on the environment and society is one of the biggest challenges facing us today. Programme length: 1 year full-time / 2 years part-time / 2-5 years flexible. 

UDCP

Urban Design and City Planning MSc/Dip

This programme offers a unique focus on urban design as a creative planning tool and the interface between urban design and city planning. Programme length: 1 year full-time / 2 years part-time / 2-5 years flexible.

Mega infrastructure

Infrastructure Planning Appraisal and Development MSc

A modular/flexible programme, aiming to provide a critical review of mega infrastructure theory and international practice. Programme length: 1 year full-time / 2 years part-time / 2-5 years flexible.

Housing planning

Housing and City Planning MSc

A ground-breaking interdisciplinary perspective on the developed world's 'housing question,' drawing together the planning, design and project management dimensions of development. Programme length: 1 year full-time / 2 years part-time / 2-5 years flexible.

Freiburg Tram

Transport and City Planning MSc

A critical and interdisciplinary perspective on transport planning, with an urban and international focus, and as part of the development of the sustainable city. Programme length: 1 year full-time / 2 years part-time / 2-5 years flexible.

MPlan

City Planning MPlan

A two-year programme that offers an in-depth, academically informed introduction to the professional practice of city planning and explores both domestic and international planning practice and culture. Programme length: 2 years full-time.
