Welcome to the Association of University Administrators (AUA) at UCL

The AUA exists to advance and promote the professional recognition and development of all who work in professional services roles in higher education, and to be an authoritative advocate and champion for the sector.

AUA members are individually and collectively committed to:

  • the continuous development of their own and others' professional knowledge, skills and practices;
  • actively championing equality of educational and professional opportunity;
  • the advancement of higher education through the robust application of professional knowledge, skills and practices;
  • the highest standards of fair, ethical and transparent professional behaviour.

The UCL branch of the AUA has a membership spanning a diverse range of roles and career stages. Members have access to all the benefits of national membership, plus an active programme of branch and London-region events.

We are organising a series of events which focus on the days in lives of senior professional services staff within UCL. Each event is intended to give an insight into a different area of UCL and what it’s really like to be in the senior roles at UCL, including their journey to these positions.

We host a series of free events every term which are open to all UCL staff.

The first of the Spring Term (16/17) will take place from 12:30-13:30 on Tuesday 14 February and will give an insight into what a typical day normally holds for Simon Buller, Faculty Manager (Faculty of Laws). He will talk about his role and how he combines it with his participation in various UCL initiatives.
