Välkommen till Sverige!

You may know more about Sweden than you realise! You’ve probably been to Ikea, listened to Abba, and seen Sven-Göran Eriksson screaming at the England team from the manager’s box. But did you also know that this cool Scandinavian country is home to the Nobel peace prize, Pippi Longstocking with her freckles and pigtails, and Volvo cars?

Sweden is the largest Scandinavian country with a population of nine million. The beautiful capital Stockholm is built across a group of fourteen islands which is why it is sometimes called the Venice of the north.
