Roman broaches from the excavations at Eastbourne College Of Arts & Technology

The Illustration Department at ASE provides a comprehensive range of graphic services. These include site plans integrated into the Ordnance Survey, artefact illustration, historic map regression, GIS management, 3D representation and reconstruction drawings, high quality colour and black and white figures for all types of reports, and design and layout services.

Our team regularly produce graphics for a wide range of reporting needs including  Desk-Based Assessments,  Written Schemes of Investigation and Project Specifications,  all client and planning related reporting (reports for evaluations, watching briefs and excavations) and historic building surveys.

Our publication articles are submitted to a number of county and period based journals and magazines, producing graphics to their individual house styles and format.

We also co-manage the publication imprint, SpoilHeap Publications, producing monograph and occassional paper volumes, which we design and layout in-house to a print-ready format.

Our team can also bring their skills and experience to a range of graphical needs for public engagement and outreach purposes such as leaflets, popular books, posters, displays, and site hoarding.
