IoA staff and students contribute to a vast number of field research projects in many different parts of the world. As an example, the map above shows just those projects with which the IoA has a formal affiliation through major staff participation. For further information click on the project icons (that indicate whether the project is predominantly an excavation, survey or major program of analysis).
Many of our UK-based projects and all overseas projects work as collaborations with local archaeologists, antiquities services, museums and/or universities. A large number also foster links with other UK-based universities and institutions such as English Heritage, the Natural History Museum, the University of Durham, the British Museum, QMC London, the University of Cambridge, Bournemouth University, the Open University, University of Southampton, Oxford University, Sheffield University, Oxford Brookes University, and the Egypt Exploration Society.
