Alexandra Fitzsimmons

Alexandra has worked in the museum and heritage sector for over a decade. Following study at the University of Cambridge and University College London, she worked for the Victoria and Albert Museum, and then for international exhibition designer Event Communications. At Event her role was to develop storylines for projects ranging from the Giant’s Causeway Visitor Centre in Northern Ireland to the Polytechnic Museum in Moscow.

Alexandra is now self-employed as a Content and Storytelling Consultant – supporting museums in developing narratives that best represent their visions and Collections, and engage their audiences. She is also the founder of a charity dedicated to making maths family fun – in contexts ranging from schools to museums. She lectures on narrative within the Museum Studies course.
