IoA involvement:

Gianluca co-teaches undergraduate tutorials and classes for the modules ARCL0136 Egyptian Archaeology through the Petrie Museum: an Object-Based Theoretical Approach and ARCL0202 Archaeology of Language and Script in Egypt and Sudan. He is involved with two research projects: Pharaonic Rescission: Objects as Crucibles of Ancient Egyptian Societies working with material held at the Petrie Museum and Queen Ahhotep treasure and its context: the long road to the Egyptian Museum of Cairo, 1859–2021 which teaching with Institute students and seminars in collaboration with Institute staff. A series of curatorial research seminars are planned with Institute students and staff on the history of the archaeological discovery and museological display of the objects of queen Ahhotep (c. 1550 BC).
