IoA involvement:

Meriel is currently collaborating with several Institute staff on various research projects. She continues to work with Dorian Fuller on investigating domestication of secondary crops, such as oat and rye. Meriel is also working with Sue Colledge to write up results of analyses by Gordon Hillman that were never completed, as well as a paper on Gordon Hillman’s research interests in prehistoric Britain. She contributes to teaching at the Institute through her involvement with ArcheoTech, the annual experimental archaeology field course for first year undergraduates, where she assists in teaching crop processing (most recent participation, 2019).
