History:Okasha/Forsyth/2001, 233: `The stone was found in the summer of 1944 during excavation at the site ... It was a stray find from the rubble around stone no. 40 (the East Cross) ... During September to December 1944 the east wall of the church was rebuilt, incorporating many of the inscribed stones, including this one. In photographs dating from the 1960s, preserved in Dúchas (negative nos 75, 76), the stone is shown built into the east interior wall of the church but in a different place in the wall ... The stone presumably became loose before 1986-87 and was then rebuilt into the wall in its present position'.
