Discovery:in/on structure, 1924 Dalton Jackson, H.
History:Okasha/1993, 248: `The stone was found in 1924 by the vicar, the Rev. H. Dalton Jackson, when `the bridge spanning the brook just below the church was widened'. Macalister stated that: `At one time it was apparently used as a footbridge, but it was lost in the bed of a stream flowing past the church, and recovered in 1924', Macalister does not, however, give any evidence to support this assertion that the stone had been a footbridge. By 1927 the stone was in the churchyard and by 1932 it was inside the church'.
