Macalister/1909, 11: `It seems to have been a three-line Latin cross...with a blank lozenge at the centre, and semi-circular arm ends, containing a modified key-pattern not quite correctly deciphered in Petrie. There was a two line margin, and intersections were mitred throughout'.

Palaeography:Macalister/1909, 11: `the engraver seems by accident to have omitted the `ig', and then partially corrected his mistake by inserting the `i' above; but not finding room for the `g' anywhere, he left it out altogether'.

CISP: The inscription is in half-uncial with wedge-shaped finials on the ascenders and some of the cross-strokes. The Rs are minuscule and the A is in the `OC' form.
