Palaeography: | CISP: The lettering is Insular half-uncial. The A is in the 'OC' form, the L is curved and the R is majuscule. The first O is oval-shaped and the second is a lozenge-shaped O. |
Legibility: | some Macalister/1945, 66: `The L might possibly be a B, but on the whole, the reading adopted is the more probable. There is a stroke above and between the CO, not here reproduced, apparently cut but of no significance'. |
