Palaeography: | CISP: The inscription is in half-uncial. The initial OR has a contraction mark over it, while it is preceded by a textual cross; the Os are lozenge-shaped; the second D has an ascender which bends to the left over a lozenge-shaped bow; the B is open-bowed as is the 3rd D and both have vertical ascenders. The A has an angular bow. |
Legibility: | some Macalister/1909, 4: `Inscription...is much scaled, but is quite legible'. The first three letters are damaged, while the stone breaks off at the bottom taking with it part of the H, most of an M and any letters following. |
