History: | Macalister/1945, 77: `Here there is (or was - I have heard rumours of its destruction) a souterrain ... It had an entrance-chamber roofed with large flat stones, supported on upright pillars; two of the latter were the lower ends of ogham stones, broken to make them of size suitable for the purpose of the masons. The inscriptions were discovered by Mr. J.J. O'Crowley [in 1906]'. |
