Okasha/Forsyth/2001, 108: `The early Christian site of Oughtmama is on the northern edge of Burren, c. one km to the south-east of the late twelfth-century Cistercian abbey of Corcomroe. The only physical remains of the early monastery are three ruined churches, the largest and most westerly of which is of nave-and-chancel plan, with a flat-headed doorway and a plain Romanesque arch ... Traditionally the site is associated with St Colman but little else is known of its early history'.
