Edwards/1987, 58: 'the stone was located ESE of the farm buildings in a field which slopes down to the River Elwy at betweeb 130 and 140m OD'. No other features have been noted in the field. The parish church of Llangernyw has two Class II cross-inscribed stones (ECMW, nos. 178, 179), dated by Nash-Williams to 7th-9th century.
