Hamlin/2001, 59: `Devenish, in Lower Lough Erne, was Fermanagh's most important ecclesiastical site, in active use from the sixth to the seventeenth century. In recent years, as part of the archaeological survey of the county, we have sorted a collection of hundreds of loose stones, mostly architectural fragments'.
