Institute students undertaking the course on 'Issues in Conservation: Context of Conservation' have designed posters highlighting aspects of the destruction of cultural heritage.

The Institute of Archaeology currently has a Marie Curie Trainee post (equivalent to PhD research) available as part of the collaborative BEAN Initial Training Network. The deadline for applications is 15 January 2012.

Marcos Martinón-Torres was recently invited to give a lecture in Madrid on his Chinese research as part of a series of events to celebrate UNESCO'S International Year of Chemistry.

The Journal of Conservation and Museum Studies, an Open Access, rapid publishing and peer-reviewed journal, is being relaunched, in collaboration with the British Library.

Details of the series of 75th Anniversary Inaugural Lectures by recently-appointed Professors at the Institute are now available and registration is open for these events.

The latest issue of World Archaeology on the Archaeology of Travel and Communication, edited by Andrew Reynolds, has recently been published by Routledge.

The Institute recently hosted a delegation from Beijing's Institute of Archaeology and Cultural Relics to discuss potential future collaboration in cultural heritage research and training.

The Institute is pleased to welcome Raphael Greenberg, Tel Aviv University, as an Honorary Senior Research Associate for six months to explore collaborative teaching and research in the areas of archaeology and cultural heritage.
