Renata Peters has been elected Vice-Chair of the International Council of Museums, Conservation Committee (ICOM-CC) for a 3-year term from 2017-20.

ICOM-CC is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and is the largest of ICOM’s international committees with over 3,000 members from all over the world.

The election took place during the 18th International Council of Museums – Conservation Committee (ICOM-CC) Triennial Conference on 'Linking Past and Future', in Copenhagen, from 4-8 September, which was attended by over 1,000 conservation professionals.

The new ICOM-CC Directory Board is working on their strategic plan for the next triennial, which Renata hopes will provide more opportunities to engage conservation students and recent graduates. They are also starting the organisation of the next ICOM-CC Triennial Conference, to be held in Beijing in 2020.
