The Institute of Archaeology currently has a vacancy for an Assistant Project Co-ordinator/Events Organiser (part-time, Ref.:1674770). The deadline for applications is 13 October 2017.

A part-time Assistant Project Co-ordinator/Events Organiser is required to be responsible for the creation and maintenance of the project website, including writing basic copy for the project website and other promotional activities, co-ordinating meeting dates, and correspondence relating to the project and its events.

They will be responsible for the collation of data on current research and training collaborations linking UCL and The British Museum. They will organise research events and co-ordinate publicity for project events.

The post holder will also take notes and minutes of meetings, assist the Principal Investigator of the project, David Wengrow, with financial record keeping and carry out general administrative duties as required.

The successful candidate will have experience in digital communications and public outreach, including website production and maintenance, use of social media and blogs. They will also have experience of events organisation, including catering and poster production. Good numeracy skills, experience with complex administrative tasks and excellent IT skills are essential.

The post is part-time (20% FTE) and is funded until 31 July 2018 in the first instance.
