Location: Rooms 609 & 612, UCL Institute of Archaeology
The Institute of Archaeology Research Network Archaeology-Heritage-Art will host a display of artwork produced by staff and students on 23 May.
Sculpture, painting, photography, creative writing, and digital media will be exhibited in an informal setting which aims to re-imagine the 19th Century ‘Conversazione’ - a relaxed forum for discussion of the arts and sciences.
Join us for this opportunity to talk to colleagues about how artistic practices inform their research, and consider the wider role of art in the fields of archaeology and heritage.
This event sets the tone for future activities of this new research network. Alongside the traditional academic programs of lectures and seminars, the network aims to provide a platform for alternative engagements between archaeology, heritage and art.
This drop-in event is
free and open to all. No booking necessary. A reception will follow in the Staff Common Room (Room 609).
Email the Conversazione organisers Colin Sterling or Leah Acheson Roberts at firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
