The Evolution of Technical Traditions. A Phylogenetic Approach based on the European Bronze Age

The Annual Lecture of the Ceramic Technology Research Network will take place at the Institute on 10 July.

Sébastien Manem (CNRS, lab 'UMR 7055 - Préhistoire & Technologie') will give a lecture entitled The Evolution of Technical Traditions. A phylogenetic approach based on the European Bronze Age and all are welcome to attend.

The lecture will be followed by a wine reception in the Institute's Staff and Research Student Common Room (Room 609).

The Ceramic Technology Research Network brings together Institute of Archaeology staff and early stage researchers interested in the study of ancient ceramic technology. The purpose of the network is to organise focused group activities that cross-cut the wide chronological and geographic coverage of UCL archaeological ceramics research.

Any enquiries about the event may be directed to Patrick Quinn or Silvia Amicone.
