Andrew Gardner awarded Topoi Fellowship

TOPOI Excellence Programme at the Freie Universität, Berlin

Congratulations to Andrew Gardner who has been awarded a Fellowship at the Topoi Excellence Cluster based at Freie Universität, Berlin.

Andrew's research interests include identities, agency and power, violence, temporality and the use of the past in the present. The one-month Fellowship, which has just commenced, will facilitate his collaboration with Kerstin Hofmann and others in the Spatial Identity research group at the Topoi Excellence Cluster.

During his Fellowship Andrew will be presenting a lecture entitled 'Time Zones: the temporal dimensions of spatial identities'.

The Topoi Excellence Cluster is a research network with a focus on the study of the ancient world. In Topoi, more than 200 researchers from diverse disciplines investigate how space and knowledge were formed and transformed in ancient civilisations.
