David Lewis-Williams (Emeritus Professor, University of the Witwatersrand) will give a special lecture at the Institute of Archaeology on 10 October.
The field of Upper Palaeolithic art research is beset with many misunderstandings and controversies. Just how far along the path to knowing why people of that time made images, many deep underground, can researchers go?
The lecture will be followed by a wine reception, hosted by Stephen Shennan, Director of the Institute of Archaeology.
Any enquiries about the event may be directed to Didier Bouakaze-Khan.
