A new exhibition by John Murphy, drawing on the collections of the Institute of Archaeology, UCL Museums & Collections and Library Services' Special Collections, is on display at the Institute until 30 March.
Drawing on the wealth of UCL and Institute collections, London-based artist John Murphy assembles objects relating to Mount Vesuvius and to the many stories, real and imagined, engendered by the figure of the volcano.
The exhibition, curated by Antony Hudek, is on display in the A.G. Leventis Gallery at the Institute of Archaeology and is open Mondays-Fridays from 9am-5pm. Entry is free.
A private view of the exhibition is being held on Friday 10 February. Further information about this event is available from Antony Hudek.
