A one-day multidisciplinary conference entitled 'Popular Antiquities: Folklore & Archaeology', being organised as part of the UCL Early Medieval Interdisciplinary Conference Series, will be held at the Institute on 22 October.

The conference aims to present and discuss the relationship between folklore and archaeology, their histories, materials, aims, methods and reception, in an attempt promote collaboration between the two disciplines.
