News and Events

The Institute of Archaeology regularly publishes news and events, including seminars, conferences, job opportunities, recent press coverage, major publications and other announcements.

Current and former staff and students are invited to email Jo Dullaghan with news and events for posting on the Institute's website and for inclusion in any e-newsletters and other communications.

RSS, Social Media

Blog, Podcasts, Instagram

There are many ways to keep up to date with Institute of Archaeology activities. The Institute currently offers separate RSS feeds for news and events. You can also find details of all Institute activities via our new Podcasts, Blog and Instagram page as well as on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Events calendar

The IoA maintains a calendar of events, which can be synced with personal calendars via the ICAL file. This works with most mail clients, including desktop Outlook and the Outlook Web App (Office 365). Instructions for adding the calendar to the Outlook Web App can be found on the Office help site.

Institute of Archaeology events advertised on the Institute website normally take place in one of the seminar rooms/lecture theatre within the Institute building on Gordon Square or in one of the lecture theatres within UCL.  The location of each event is advertised within the particular item.

The Archaeology Lecture Theatre (G6) is located on the ground floor of the Institute building, through the A.G. Leventis Gallery of Cypriot and Eastern Mediterranean Archaeology.

Seminar rooms are located on the 2nd floor (Room 209), 4th floor (Rooms 410 & 412) and 6th floor (Room 612).  Receptions are often held in the 6th floor Staff and Research Student Common Room (Room 609).

Attendees with any special requirements should contact the Institute for further information.
