The Institute of Archaeology is launching its 75th Anniversary Appeal to support students, teaching and fieldwork activities, and equipment.

A very special evening of music and celebration, to mark the Institute's 75th anniversary, will be held at Nambucca in north London on 28 November and all are welcome to attend.   

The Institute's 75 years of leading global archaeology is highlighted in an article by Gabriel Moshenska published in the May/June edition of British Archaeology.

The Institute's 75th anniversary celebrations continue with two days of activities in Gordon Square Gardens on 8 & 9 June.

The 75th Anniversary of the UCL Institute of Archaeology has been marked by a visit this week from Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, Chancellor of the University of London.

Videos of the 75th Anniversary Debates with key public and professional figures are now available to view on the Institute website.

Details of a dedicated 75th Anniversary Exhibition created by Institute Masters students and an associated performance event are now available.

The Institute's 75th anniversary celebrations being held throughout 2012 are being launched with the first event at the Institute on 9 January.

Details of the series of 75th Anniversary Inaugural Lectures by recently-appointed Professors at the Institute are now available and registration is open for these events.

The Institute's Annual Lecture, inaugurated as the Institute of Archaeology 75th Anniversary Lecture in 2012, will be given by Daniel Lord Smail (Professor of History, Harvard University) at UCL on 19 January 2012.
