Connection Guides
There are 2 basic requirements for connecting to the JRS eduroam service at UCL:
- A UCL userid and password. Your UCL userid is provided on the front of your registration slip and must be appended with @ucl.ac.uk (e.g. ucxxzano@ucl.ac.uk). It is not your userid@live.ucl.ac.uk.
- A Wi-Fi certified wireless Network adapter. Most laptops and Smart-Phones have a Wi-Fi adapter built-in, but if you are unsure please refer to About Wi-Fi on the Wireless home page.
Please select the Operating System of the device you want to connect to the eduroam service with:
- Microsoft Windows 7
- Microsoft Windows Vista
- Microsoft Windows XP and 2000
- Microsoft Windows NT4.0/ Me/ 98/ 95
- Microsoft Windows Phone 7
- Microsoft Mobile 6.5/ 6/ 5 or Pocket PC 2005/ 2003
- Apple Mac OS X Lion (10.7)
- Apple Mac OS X Leopard (10.5)/ Snow Leopard (10.6)
- Apple Mac OS X Tiger (10.4)
- Apple Mac OS X 10.3 (or lower)/ OS 9
- Apple iPhone, iPod touch and iPad
- Linux and FreeBSD
- Google Android Phone
- Nokia Phone
- Blackberry Phone
- Amazon Kindle
- Generic or Other Operating System
