Introductory overview of human adaptation to different environmental and other stresses; General introduction to human nutritional requirements and problems, environmental physiology, epidemiology and evolution of infectious diseases relevant to the study of human ecology. Introductory overview of the fossil and archaeological evidence for human evolution, and of the interpretation of this evidence.
