The programme for the MSc in Human Evolution and Behaviour consists of:
- Compulsory core course (25% of overall marks for the degree; 2 out of 3 possible streams on offer to be selected)
- Primate Socioecology (assessed by essay; 5%)
- Palaeoanthropology (assessed by lab books; 5%)
- Human Behavioural Ecology (assessed by essay; 5%)
- Two 1.5-hour unseen written exams for each core option (2 x 6 = 12%)
- Presentation about intended dissertation project (3%)
- 3 optional courses (25%; each option thus represents 8.3%)
- Dissertation preparation
- Post-graduate methods/statistics (compulsory, but not assessed)
- Involvement in the Department's research environment
- Weekly departmental seminars (2 h)
- Occasional attendance at non-departmental seminars
- MSc Dissertation (50%)
