Applying
All applications must be made through UCAS
(www.ucas.com/).
Full details about applying to study
anthropology at UCL are available here: www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/undergraduate-study/degrees-1314/ubsantsing05
Competition for places on the course is
keen and good A level/AS level grades are expected (see below). We prefer
candidates whose academic studies have encompassed arts/humanities and science
(preferably biology or human biology). Those without a broad range are not
excluded although they may receive a more demanding offer.
Candidates should have, or be predicted,
the following qualifications:
- 3 GCE A-levels grades AAB (preferably a mix of Arts & Sciences)
and
- A pass in one AS level subject – preferably in a contrasting discipline
and
- At least a Grade B in Biology at GCSE or equivalent
- IB Diploma - 36-38 points with at least 17 points at Higher Level
The department has a long-standing policy
of encouraging applications from those with non-standard qualifications. For
details of other UK, EU and International Qualifications recognised by UCL, please
follow this link: www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/undergraduate-study/application-and-entry/ug-requirements
Overseas students should enquire about
application through the UCL International Office. Undergraduate Prospectus and
Departmental Booklets can be found at: www.ucl.ac.uk/prospectus.
We welcome short- and long-term
international students. Many Junior Year Abroad students from the USA join
our programme for one term or the whole year.
