UCL Anthropology is one of the largest departments in the UK with more than 30 members of the academic staff. In addition there is a number of externally funded research staff in the department at any one time. Our collective academic staff and graduate researchers are widely international in background conducting research across the globe.

Staff The distinctive research aims and profile of the Department reflects its long-standing commitment to a broad-based conception of Anthropology, combining biological, social and material culture perspectives. A substantial proportion of the Department's research activity and outputs are the result of staff collaboration both within and between these groupings, for example pastoralist research and in the anthropology of genomics.
