Interdisciplinary Research

Much of the Department's research cuts across the above groupings and is conducted in the context of thematically-oriented research forums. These forge interdisciplinary collaborations that link the Department of Anthropology with other departments in UCL, as well as with collaborators in other universities both within the UK and internationally. Collaborative initiatives currently based in the Department include:
- The Centre for Ecology and Evolution (CEE)
- The Centre for Medical Anthropology (Anthropology & Psychiatry)
- The Global Denim Project
- Roma Research Network
Wider interdisciplinary
research structures in which groupings within the Department participate
include:
- The AHRC Centre for Evolution of Human Diversity
- The UCL Institute for Human Genetics and Health
- The Centre for Health and International Development (UCL-CHID)
- The Centre for Museums, Heritage & Material Culture Studies
