CURRENT RESEARCH AND APPLICATION

  • Historical and current resource use (e.g. hunting, agriculture) in remote and peri-urban tropical environments, implications for conservation
  • Historical and current effects of human use on tropical ecosystem structure and carbon studies
  • Red listing as a tool for conservation and policy
  • Endemic plant conservation
  • Fire (human ecology, regime change, management, policy)
  • Decentralisation policy of natural resources

Regional Interest: Central and West Africa, particularly Gabon
