CURRENT RESEARCH
Thematic Interest: My general interest is in the materializations and spatializations of social change.
- More specifically I am studying anthropologically material infrastructures (esp. highways), cityscapes, domestic and public urban spaces in reference to flows and human mobility. My emphasis is on the transitions from pre-socialism to socialism and from socialism to postsocialism in Albania.
- Additionally, I have a parallel interest in revolts and protests and their links with social transformation. I am particularly interested into the material and spatial culture of urban revolts and post-revolt situations during capitalist crisis with emphasis on Greece.
Regional Interest: Balkans, Postsocialist Europe and Mediterranean, esp. Albania and Greece.
