Introduction
My research project aims to explore and analyse the social significance of food in Kosova. My question is: As the newest recognised state in the world to what extent is Kosova a "newborn" materiality? Is Kosova cuisine a "newborn" or an "oldcorn"? What is happening in the kitchens and on the tables of the "newborn" state and what does it do and mean to people there? I am exploring the construction of a newborn cuisine as a heterogeneous reassessment activity in the context of political, social and cultural change. I am currently completing my fieldwork in Prishtina.
