UCL AnthSoc proudly invites you to our fist departmental debate of the year.

Wednesday 26th November 4pm, Anthropology Common Room

Allen Abramson, specialist in the cosmology of industrial societies, and Hannah Knox, specialist in infrastructure and new media, will be discussing ethnography, developments in anthropology and how people imagine their futures in light of new industrial developments.

Departmental debates offer the chance for students and staff from across the subdisciplines to come together and gain insight into how various anthropological approaches endeavour to answer the same questions. Often coming to distinctively different conclusions. Highlighting one of the disciplines unique strengths: its reflexive approach to knowing.
