American Studies in the UK 2000 - 2010
9 August 2012
We are pleased to
announce the publication of a report on American Studies in the UK commissioned
by the British Association of American Studies in conjunction with the
Fulbright Commission.
The report outlines institutional trends across the
last decade noting disciplinary developments, recruitment patterns, study
abroad opportunities, American Studies research centres, and the 2001 and 2008
Research Assessment Exercises.
UCL's Institute of the Americas will work
closely with BAAS to promote American Studies teaching and research.
Iwan
Morgan, Professor of US Studies at UCL-IA was one of 14 senior academics
interviewed for the BAAS report, which is available as a downloadable PDF from
the BAAS website www.baas.ac.uk
