UCL - Institute of the Americas proudly hosts this discussion panel, with the attendance of Prof Sarah Radcliffe (Cambridge), Prof Denise Ferreira da Silva (Queen Mary, University of London) and Mr Ignacio Aguilo (University of Manchester).

How have Pink Tide countries in Latin America addressed race relations? Have Left or Left-leaning governments in Argentina, Brazil and Ecuador been effective in addressing the racialised exclusion of large sectors of their populations from full citizenship? Have Pink Tide politics made a difference for racialised 'Others', such as Peruvian or Bolivian immigrants, in Argentina? These are some of the questions that this distinguished panel of speakers will discuss
