We are delighted to invite you to the first event held by the UCL Institute of the Americas. We are looking forward to the beginning of the new academic year in a new location and welcoming new students to UCL, part-time Masters students who are joining us from ISA and our transferring research student community.

The new Institute of the Americas will promote, coordinate and provide a focus for research and postgraduate teaching on the Americas at UCL - including the Caribbean, Latin America, the United States and Canada. The Open House event will be held on Friday 14 September 2012 from 2.00 to 5.00pm in Room G07 Pearson Building, Gower Street, London, WC1E 6BT.

2.00        General Welcome
2:15        Welcome by the Institute Director, Professor Maxine Molyneux
2:30        Introduction to teaching and research areas by UCL-IA Course Directors

We will break for a short period in which individual queries can be answered by the teaching and administrative team.

3:30        Campus Tour: Library, Institute premises (TBC), Students Union etc.
4:00        Informal welcome reception
