The Institute for Government is pleased to invite you to Redesigning Devolution: International Lessons for the UK.

Speakers at this event will include Luc van den Brande (former Minister President of Flanders), Albert Carreras (Secretary for Economy and Finance in the Government of Catalonia), Professor Alain Noël (a member of the former Commission on Fiscal Disequilibrium in Canada), Professor Alain G. Gagnon (Université du Québec à Montréal) and Jeremy Purvis (head of the Devolution Plus group in Scotland). These experts will share lessons about how best to design a decentralized political system, how to share resources and allocate fiscal powers, and how central and sub-national governments can work together to solve collective problems.

Conference organized in partnership with the Québec Government Office in London, the Delegation of the Government of Catalonia to the UK and the Representation of the Government of Flanders in the UK. The Institute of Government will host the event at his headquarter at the heart of Westminster.
