- UCL has 1,916 alumni living in France, of which approximately 85% are French nationals and 15% are British ex-pats
- UCL currently has 353 French students studying at the institution.
The UCL Alumni France Group has been established for over 10 years and meets on a regular basis in Paris for drinks and dinner on the last Wednesday of every month and for a variety of other events throughout the year.

UCL Bon Voyage - Monday 10 September 2012
70 alumni and new students gathered at the British Council in Paris for the annual 'Bon Voyage' event on Monday 10 September. Welcome speeches were given by Bob Lewis (UCL Geography 1978) of the UCL Alumni France Group, Marvyn Halfon of the UCL Francophone Society and Chris Hickey (UCL French 1986), Director of British Council Paris. A good time was had by all.

evening featured a short talk given by Sir Peter Westmacott, British
Ambassador to France and was followed by a drinks reception with the
opportunity to meet with other recently-returned French alumni from UK
Bon voyage! Thursday 15th September 2011
On Thursday 15th September 2011, 50 freshers and alumni gathered at the British Council in Paris for a 'bon voyage; drinks reception organised by the UCL Francophone society and UCL French Alumni Association. The event was a great success and provided an opportunity for alumni meet new students
about to commence their studies at UCL and network with fellow alumni.
