Monthly pub meet at Frog & Rosbif
  • UCL has 2,196 alumni living in France, of which approximately 85% are French nationals and 15% are British ex-pats 
  • UCL currently has 379 French students studying at the institution.

The UCL Alumni France Group has been established for over 10 years and meets on a regular basis in Paris for drinks and dinner on the last Wednesday of every month and for a variety of other events throughout the year.

Philanthropy Month Alumni Reception Paris - 18 February 2015

Throughout February 2015, UCL is holding a Philanthropy month to celebrate those who support the University. As part of this activity UCL Alumni France are arranging an event at the British Council in Paris on Feb 18th at 19:00

Bring some nibbles and drinks to celebrate Jeremy Bentham and help raise awareness of UCL Philanthopy.  Join us for this Bentham themed event and take your own #Benthamselfie. Register for this event by using Eventbrite (opens in new window).

Any proceeds will be donated to the UCL Scholarships and Bursaries Fund online.

Under the patronage of Sir Peter Ricketts, British Ambassador to France, UCL alumni attended the London Alumni in Paris evening at the British Embassy. The theme was "Celebrating the Entente Cordiale: keys to political and academic success”

Over 100 new students and alumni gathered for the annual 'Bon Voyage' event at the British Council in Paris. Guest speakers for the evening were Professor Peter Delves (UCL Immunology 1986), UCL's Pro-Provost for Europe and Central Asia and Paul Docherty, Director of the British Council, France.

One new student remarked: "I take this opportunity to thank you and all the organising team for the event of yesterday. It was a good moment and it makes it easy to meet other UCL students."

UCL French Students Pre-Departure Event: "UCL Bon Voyage" - Thursday 12 September 2013

Over 100 alumni, new students and guests gathered for The UCLU Francophone Society and UCL French Alumni Association 2013 “UCL Bon Voyage” event at the British Council in Paris on Thursday 12 September 2013. The event was hosted by Professor Peter Delves, Pro-Provost Europe who welcomed the new students to UCL and updated those present on the latest news and developments.

UCL Bon Voyage - Monday 10 September 2012

70 alumni and new students gathered at the British Council in Paris for the annual 'Bon Voyage' event on Monday 10 September. Welcome speeches were given by Bob Lewis (UCL Geography 1978) of the UCL Alumni France Group, Marvyn Halfon of the UCL Francophone Society and Chris Hickey (UCL French 1986), Director of British Council Paris. A good time was had by all.


Welcome Back Reception, British Ambassador's Residence - 9 November 2011

This evening featured a short talk given by Sir Peter Westmacott, British Ambassador to France and was followed by a drinks reception with the opportunity to meet with other recently-returned French alumni from UK universities.

Bon voyage! Thursday 15th September 2011

On Thursday 15th September 2011, 50 freshers and alumni gathered at the British Council in Paris for a 'bon voyage; drinks reception organised by the UCL Francophone society and UCL French Alumni Association. The event was a great success and provided an opportunity for alumni meet new students about to commence their studies at UCL and network with fellow alumni.
