13th July 2013 - The UCL Academicals recently completed their tour of Thailand

The UCL Academicals, mens alumni hockey team, recently completed their tour of Thailand. Local UCL alumni were invited to support them at a match against Thailand Invitational XI on 13th July 2013 at Queen Sirikit Sports Stadium, Bangkok with drinks afterwards in central Bangkok.

The Academicals won all of the three matches they played and the club was granted honorary membership of the Royal Bangkok Sports Club.

March 28th 2007 - From SizeUK to SizeTHAILAND (Bangkok)

UCL has pioneered the use of 3D body surface scanners for the Clothing industry. Professor Philip Treleaven (Pro-Provost for the Far East) was at the forefront of SizeUK which was the first national sizing survey in the world to use state-of-the-art 3D body scanners as the principal means of measurement capture. SizeUK received massive national and international publicity and UCL is now collaborating with the Thai Government on SizeTHAILAND.

As part of UCL’s development of an international alumni network, alumni were invited to attend the SizeTHAILAND lecture given by Professor Philip Treleaven followed by informal drinks in the Pan Pacific Hotel bar.

The evening was very much enjoyed by all those who attended the event.
