About Open Learning Environment for Early Modern Low Countries History
The project will turn a comprehensive survey course in early modern Low Countries history, from the late Middle Ages to the end of the 18th century, into a multimedia and Web 2.0 enriched Open Educational Resource (OER). A special focus of the course lies on relations between the Low Countries and the Anglophone world. The learning and teaching materials from the course as it is currently taught face-to-face at UCL, will form the basis of the proposed OER. Together with a series of multimedia learning objects which have been created in the context of the inter-university cooperative teaching and learning programme VirtualDutch, they will be combined in an integrated resource-rich but directed open learning environment.
